Beyond theories, approaches, and interventions, therapy is, for me, an opportunity to accompany you on the path of creating the life you long to live. It is human to experience longing, discomfort, anxiety, sadness, grief, loss and trauma. To learn from difficult experiences, to grow - heal and change in response to them - takes courage and strength. I believe that, in order to move toward wholeness, we must include the whole self; body, mind, heart and spirit. Each person has their own way of experiencing themselves and the world. My task is to witness your unique expression and to support you with techniques, compassion and presence.
The Somatic Experiencing® method is a body-oriented approach to the healing of trauma and other stress disorders. It is the life’s work of Dr. Peter A. Levine, resulting from his multidisciplinary study of stress physiology, psychology, ethology, biology, neuroscience, indigenous healing practices, and medical biophysics, together with over 45 years of successful clinical application. The SE™ approach releases traumatic shock, which is key to transforming PTSD and the wounds of emotional and early developmental attachment trauma.
